The eXtended Demo Engine
Version 1.20
The XDE is a complete, well structured, totally generic yet still extremely fast graphics library for Watcom C, created by Real Ice. Now it also includes eXtended 3D, a still incomplete, yet multi-featured and powerful 3D engine.
Originally conceived as a pure demo kernel, it has kept growing, and now offers features beyond it's initial purpose, thus being suitable for any graphics application, starting with demos but not excluding editors, design tools and even games.
It is currently not available to the public, and has no set price, either. This page and the downloadable showcases for now have merely educational purposes (in other words, I'm showing off ;) This does not implie that if an offer were made, I were to refuse... but selling this library is not my main intention at this point.
Also, if you are into graphic programming or demos (even better), and you see anything you like or find interesting, have any questions, whatever... I will always try to anwser any mail I receive, it may take a while, but you will get a replie (almost) for sure :)
By the way... the animated "Venus de Milo's" at the top of this page are made out of screenshots from a XDE-based application.
